In today's busy world, prioritizing between work and personal life can be a huge challenge for your employees. You can set access times per user or group, so that free time, stays free time, without being distracted by work e-mails.

How does it work?

Within the tool you can configure different working hours schedules. Each schedule applies to a selected target group, which you can adjust at any time. You then decide whether you want to block sending and / or receiving e-mail and within what timeframe. You can see an example of a timeframe in the image below. Once the settings have been completed, you can add employees. It’s possible to add individuals or entire Office 365 groups to your schedule. You can activate or deactivate this schedule at any time.

  1. Name the working hours schedule
  2. Block send and/or receiving e-mails
  3. Set the specific timeframe
  4. Select the users / groups
  5. Choose to activate or deactivate the schedule

Users trying to send emails within the blocked period will receive a notification that sending e-mails is blocked. You can customize the notification for each individual schedule. If a group of users can’t send any e-mails because of burn-out prevention, you can mention this in the customized message.

External users trying to send an e-mail to an employee who is blocked for receiving e-mails won’t notice any problems. This e-mail will be stored on a safe location in your company’s exchange environment and will be released once the active hours are reached.

Moreover, the defined rules apply to any device and operating system: android, ios, smarphone, laptop, ... As the restrictions are set at the level of the tenant / exchange, the user can in no way circumvent these rules.
